Who we are

Openn Assets is provided by The Openn Group, a sole proprietorship registered in India and owned by Amit Singh Rawat, in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India (“we”, “us”). “You” means the organisation that creates the workspace, and the person who accepts these terms confirms they may bind it.

The service

Openn Assets is a web application for keeping records of equipment, the people who hold it, warranties and software licences. We improve it over time. If we remove something you rely on, we tell workspace owners in advance.

Accounts

Keep sign-in details private and use two-step verification for admins. You are responsible for what happens in your workspace and for the people you invite to it. Tell us at support@theopenngroup.com if you think an account has been misused.

Your data

What you put into Openn Assets stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you. Our privacy policy and data processing terms explain how, and the data processing terms apply to the personal data in your workspace.

You are responsible for having the right to put that data in, including telling your employees how their data is used.

Acceptable use

• Use it only lawfully, and only for your own organisation’s equipment and people (or your clients’, with their permission, if you are a service provider).
• Do not use it to track people covertly or to record anything beyond what managing equipment needs.
• Do not try to reach other workspaces, test our security without the care described on the security page, upload malicious files, or overload the service.
• Do not resell the service without a written agreement with us.

Device control

Statuses in Openn Assets such as “not returned” or “missing” are records. They do not lock, disable, track or wipe any device. No plan includes remote lock or device restriction. If it is offered later, it will be a separate add-on under its own terms.

Plans, prices and payment

• Plans, limits and prices are on the pricing page. Prices exclude tax. Customers billed in India pay in rupees; everyone else pays in US dollars. Your billing country decides which.
• Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly. Yearly plans are paid upfront for the year.
• Free has no time limit. Growth can be tried free for 14 days without a card; at the end you move to Free unless you choose a plan.
• At your plan’s asset limit you cannot add more assets until you upgrade or retire some. We never hide, delete or lock your records because of a limit, and returns, viewing and exports keep working.
• If you cancel, your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for, then moves to Free. Your data and history are kept.
• We may change prices for future periods with at least 30 days’ notice by email.

Availability and support

We work to keep the service available and your data safe, but we do not promise it will never be interrupted. Support is by email, as described for your plan. Service levels are only binding where a written Enterprise agreement sets them.

Leaving, suspension and closure

You can stop using Openn Assets and export your data at any time. We may suspend a workspace that breaks these terms or is unpaid after we have warned you, except where we must act at once to protect the service or others. When a workspace is closed we keep it for 30 days so you can export it, then delete it.

Ownership

We own Openn Assets, its software and its design. These terms give you the right to use it while your workspace is open; they do not transfer any ownership. If you send us suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

Liability

The service is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or lost data that an export would have protected, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in those 12 months. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We update the date at the top when these terms change. For meaningful changes we email workspace owners at least 30 days before they apply. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. We will first try to settle any dispute by talking. If that fails, the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction, without taking away any rights your local consumer law gives you.
