The meter
What counts as an asset
Counts
Each physical item with its own tag or serial that is in use: available, assigned, reserved, in repair, missing or in transit. A shared item counts once, however many people use it.
Never counts
Employees and contractors. Software entries and licence seats. Quantities of consumables. Retired and disposed assets, which stay searchable and exportable as history; bringing one back into use counts it again.
At your limit
We warn you at 80%, 95% and 100%. At 100% you cannot add or reactivate assets until you upgrade or retire some. Nothing is hidden, deleted or locked, and returns, viewing and exports keep working. Moving to a smaller plan keeps all your data and history.
Why not per employee
Every employee should be in, at no cost.
Getting equipment back depends on every person seeing and accepting what they hold. A price per employee would push you to leave people out, and the gaps would show up at the worst time: when someone leaves with a laptop nobody recorded.
So employee records and the employee portal are unlimited on every plan. Plans differ by the number of assets, admins and locations, the automation you need, and the support you get.
